We have been battling his eczema lately; it almost consumed me. Been on a seemingly never-ending quest to find the magic potion. Breaks my heart to see the flare ups. Even my mother has much better skin than the baby; what gives?!
Been tracking his daily food intake and trying to find a correlation. Tried encasing the crib mattress, changed the diaper brands, changed the laundry detergent, and changed numerous creams and oils. Nothing seems to work.
Now we suspect he may be allergic to shrimp (amongst potentially other things); would make sense since I have been eating quite a bit of shrimp dishes lately. Will wait and see what the test results say.
Meanwhile, the 2.5% HC seems to be doing the trick. Hate to put it on him; but can't bear to see him being miserable.
I am here
We used to travel extensively. Weekends for leisure and weekdays for work. We also used to work like dogs...80-hr week was a common theme. That all came to a stop when I found out I was pregnant with bebis. Seems so long ago.
Ever since bebis was born, I took an extended leave of absence and decided to stay home. Work can always wait, I figure. I wouldn't want to miss bebis' first smile, the first words, the first crawl, etc...wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
Those who have known me for a long time were (and still are) surprised by my decision to stay home. "You'd go crazy!" said some. "It's very tough!" said the others. Well, have I been known to do things the easy way? I quite enjoy it. Yes, he is a handful especially because he has so much energy. But that's ok. Much rather have an active and smiley baby than a round blob.
So here is our journey...
